Winter Activities
Below are some of the Winter activities available in and around Banff. If you are interested in reserving any of these activities and are going to be a future guest of the Hotel, please do not hesitate to contact the Concièrge for additional information.

Snowmobile Tours
Duration: 3 - 7 hours.
Available: December - April
Inclusion: Transport from the Hotel, snacks or lunch and all equipment.
Located west of Banff in the Kicking Horse Valley, travel time from Banff is 1hour and 45minutes direct. All guests are provided with safety instruction on the operation and safety of the snowmobiles.

Dog Sledding
Duration: 2 - 10 hours.
Available: December - April
Inclusions: Transport from the Hotel, snacks or lunch and all equipment.
If you like dogs and want to experience a part of Canadian Culture, this is the activity. A team of top breeds takes you on a journey back into time on sleds over snow. These dogs love to pull the sleds from the encouragement people give them.

Ice walks
Duration: 4 hours.
Available: December - April
Inclusions: Transport from the Hotel, guide and ice cleats.
The easy walks lead along the bottom of the canyon and over suspended catwalks to the twin pools and Upper Falls amphitheatre. Plenty of photo stops.

Snowshoeing
Duration: 4 hours.
Available: December - April
Inclusions: Transport from hotel, guide and snowshoes.
Explore the magnificent natural world of the Canadian Rockies in a truly Canadian way-on snowshoes! Walking on snowshoes is fun, easy and you can go just about anywhere. The guides will open up the mysteries of this winter wilderness.

Ice Fishing
Duration: 8 hours.
Available: December - April
Inclusions: Transport from the Hotel, lunch, equipment, license and guide.
Located in the Spray Valley, ice fishing takes place where Lake Trout are plentiful. In a heated hut fishing for that perfect fish and enjoying it right on the spot is a winter experience not to be missed.

Helicopter Skiing
Duration: 12 hours.
Available: December - April
Inclusions: Transport from the Hotel, breakfast, lunch, powder skis and certified ski guide. Enjoy a day of heli-skiing in what is the birthplace of this unforgettable adventure. This excursion starts with a two hour transfer to the Heliplex in Panorama, British Columbia, where you enjoy a good breakfast before heading out into the untracked snow. (Must be 18 years of age and be an intermediate skier/boarder. )

Calgary Flames Ice Hockey Games
Duration: Evening
Available: December to April
Inclusions: Transport and game tickets
Experience the thrill and excitement of a National Hockey League game. For some action come and see the Calgary Flames at the Canadian Airlines Saddledome. Transportation is provided to and from the game as well as various seating options at the Saddledome.

Ski & Snowboard Lessons
Various programs exist at the different hills from private lessons and group lessons to kids programs. Daycare is available for children at the various ski hills as you take your private lessons, learning the latest techniques, or advancing your skills. Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides
Duration: 45 minutes
Available: Mid - December to Mid- April
Inclusions: Horse drawn sleigh ride through Banff's beautiful wilderness and along the scenic Bow Public Ride: Enjoy a trip on a public sleigh ride.
